2023-2024 JLHOA Ice Fishing Season Rules and Regulations
The following rules and regulations will apply to the 2023-2024 JLHOA ice fishing season. These rules are in place for the safety and enjoyment of all our residents. Please read through the rules carefully before ice fishing at Jensen Lakes.
- Residents are required to provide their membership card to the staff at to the mechanical building and register any guests.
- All fishing is done at your own risk.
- Guests are not permitted without a member present.
- Fishing is currently Catch and release only.
- No live bait.
- No power bait.
- Barbless hooks ONLY.
- Unattended equipment will be confiscated for violations.
- Propane Heaters are allowed.
- Only hand-powered or electric augers are permitted. (See examples of permitted augers
here: Hand Auger Example , Electric Auger Example ) - Fishing is not permitted along the rental boat dock, and private resident docks.
- Designated Ice Fishing area will be located in the south-central area of the lake (See map below)
- Holes must be a minimum of 20 feet from the skating paths, rink area, and beach shoreline.
- Temporary Tents/ice shelters are permitted, and must be taken down each night.
- Permanent structures of any kind are not permitted.
- All park rules, including alcohol consumption and smoking, are still in effect.
- The JLHOA may change these rules without posted notice. Instructions from the JLHOA staff must be followed while on the premises.
- By registering yourself and guests this is an acknowledgment that you have read and understood the JLHOA rules and regulations.
Violation of the above rules and regulations may result in temporary confiscation of your JLHOA membership card or equipment. It could potentially result in the restriction or loss of your fishing privileges at Jensen lakes as determined by JLHOA Management.
