PADI Open Water Diver – this is the conclusion of the PADI Open Water Diver program, where the dive student completes 4 open water dives with an instructor to show proficiency with skills learned in the class and pool. Students will have already completed the class and pool (with Ocean Sports or another PADI dive shop). Dives would take place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5-9pm at Jensen Lakes. Dives 1 and 2 would happen on Tuesday and dives 3 and 4 on Thursday. The cost for this program is $250 and includes dive instruction and gear use. There will be an additional $60 fee for non-residents to access the lake. This fee will be waived for Jensen Lakes residents.
PADI Drysuit Diver – This course is available to certified divers and should be of interest to Jensen Lakes residents who are already scuba divers but would like to try cold water diving. The course includes 1 pool session and 2 lake dives. The cost is $300 and includes training (pool and lake) and gear use with drysuit. There will be an additional $30 fee for non-residents to access the lake. This fee will be waived for Jensen Lakes residents.
PADI Rescue Diver – This course is available to divers who are open water and advanced certified and want to learn rescue skills and techniques. It’s a combination of online class, pool and open water training. The cost is $400 and includes training and gear use. There will be an additional $30 fee for non-residents to access the lake. This fee will be waived for Jensen Lakes residents.
Guided Lake Dive – This course is for certified divers. This will be an exciting opportunity to explore the lake in a safe and controlled way under the supervision of a PADI Pro dive staff from Ocean Sports. We will take divers in small groups (2-4 divers) from the launch area across to the platform and around the lake. The cost is $50 and includes training and gear use and a dive guide. There will be an additional $30 fee for non-residents to access the lake. This fee will be waived for Jensen Lakes residents. Divers must be certified with proof of recent diving activity (at the discretion of Ocean Sports).
Jensen Lakes Residents receive ‘front of the line access’ for courses and activities; Ocean Sports will give preference to Jensen Lakes residents for diver spots. Jensen Lakes residents will also receive a standing 15% discount at Ocean Sports on regular-priced gear purchases.
