JLHOA Skating Surfaces

The JLHOA maintains several skating surfaces for resident enjoyment during the winter season when lake ice conditions allow. Offerings may vary each season based on weather and maintenance capacity, but residents can generally expect the following:

Land Leisure Rink (In the Park)

A safe, land‑based skating surface designed for families and new skaters. This rink provides the most consistent ice quality throughout the winter season.

Pleasure Rink (On the Lake)

A designated on‑lake skating area reserved exclusively for pleasure skating. This space allows families to enjoy recreational skating without interference from hockey activities. Stroller and sled friendly.

Hockey Rink (On the Lake)

A dedicated on‑lake hockey rink featuring two NHL‑sized nets available for resident use.

Skating Loop (On the Lake)

The JLHOA strives to offer a skating loop across the lake as an added seasonal benefit when weather conditions and maintenance capacity allow. While it is not a guaranteed amenity, our goal is to provide it whenever it is safe and feasible to do so. As our resources and equipment continue to grow, residents can expect more consistent maintenance and gradual improvements year over year.
